IN RELIGIOUS TALKS EVEN GOD PROHIBIT ADULTERY AND STONING IS THE PUNISHMENT IN EARLY AGE NOW THE SAID LAW OF GOD WAS CHANGED BY HIM ALSO IN GIVING EVERYONE CHANCE THRU JESUS JESUS CHRIST.

THE SAID PUNISHMENT OF BRUNEI GOVERNMENT SHOULD REPEAL AND HAVE FAIR GENDER FAIR RESPECT IN THEIR RIGHTS. IT IS NOT TOLERATING THEM IT IS KINDNESS AND HUMANITARIAN RELATIONS TO THEM IN GENDER FAIR ISSUES BUT IN FAITH IT IS THEIR OBLIGATIONS TO GOD TO STAY IN HIS GOODNESS REMIND THEM GOD PROHIBIT THAT ACTS OR SINS OF GAY SEX OR SAME SEX. THIS KIND OF ACTS OF GAY SEX IS NOT GOVERNMENT ACTIONS TO PUNISH LET GOD SANCTIONS THEM IN THE END OF TIMES. IN ADULTERY THERE IS LESSER PUNISHMENT TO IMPLEMENT AND NOT STONING TO DEATH.

Brunei to punish gay sex and adultery with death by stoning

The Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah (C) reviews the honor guard at the Royal Palace in Amman, on October 4.

(CNN)A new law which comes into effect from next week will punish homosexual sex and adultery with death in the small southeast Asian kingdom of Brunei.

Beginning on April 3, any individuals found guilty of the offenses will be stoned to death, according to a new penal code. The punishment will be "witnessed by a group of Muslims."

The country's strict new laws were announced in 2014, and have been rolled out gradually. The latest phase of implementation, including the brutal new provisions, was quietly announced on the Brunei attorney general's website on December 29, 2018.

‘Provocative actions and inflammatory rhetoric’ destabilizing Middle East, warns top UN official

Against a backdrop of rising tensions in Israel and Palestine, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East, painted a bleak picture once again in the Security Council on Tuesday, cataloguing further terrorist acts, attacks against civilians, reprisals against demonstrators, unlawful demolitions and settlement expansions, and a funding crisis which could have dramatic consequences for the stability of an already volatile region.

“I am saddened by the persistent violence that continues to result in the tragic loss of Palestinian and Israeli lives”, said Nickolay Mladenov. “Recent incidents in the West Bank and Gaza highlight the mounting tensions across the occupied Palestinian territory and the risk of a broader escalation of the conflict,” the UN official told the Security Council. “I am concerned that we may once again be facing another dangerous escalation of violence in Gaza with potentially catastrophic consequences.”

Suspect in Utrecht shooting had terrorist intent, prosecutors believe

(CNN)Dutch prosecutors believe that the suspect in the Utrecht tram shooting that killed three people on Monday had a terrorist motive, but authorities are probing if this was combined with any "personal problems," according to a statement released on Thursday.

The suspect, previously identified as Turkish-born 37-year-old Gokmen Tanis, will appear in court on Friday accused of offenses of multiple murder or manslaughter with a terrorist objective, and threat with a terrorist objective, according to the statement.

António Guterres reminded top politicians, business and civil society leaders that the BAPA+40 conference, as it’s known for short, will enhance the ground breaking agenda laid out at the first conference 40 years earlier, which adopted the Buenos Aires Plan of Action for Promoting and Implementing Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (BAPA).

Reflections for the I Sunday of Lent

Fr. Antony Kadavil reflects and comments on the readings at Mass for the sixth Sunday in ordinary time. He says that the readings forcefully instruct us to face our temptations as Jesus faced them and conquer them using the same means that Jesus used.

The central theme: Lent begins with a reflection on the Temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. The Church assigns temptation stories to the beginning of Lent because temptations come to everybody, not only to Jesus, and we seem almost genetically programmed to yield to them. The readings forcefully instruct us to face our temptations as Jesus faced them and conquer them using the same means that Jesus used.

Humanity ‘at a crossroads’ as damage to planet poses growing risk to health, UN environment agency warns

Human activity is damaging the planet so badly, exacerbated by climate change, that it will increasingly put our health at risk, warns a major report from the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), released on Wednesday at the UN Environment Assembly, currently taking place in Nairobi.

In a statement, UN Environment described the Global Environment Outlook, which was produced by 250 scientists and experts from more than 70 countries, as the most comprehensive and rigorous assessment completed by the United Nations in the last five years.

The message to China behind Singapore's US F-35 jet plan

Hong Kong (CNN)They are at the cutting-edge of America's elite stealth jet technology, capable of seamlessly connecting pilots for co-ordinated missions.

And now Singapore wants to become the fourth country to enmesh US F-35 warplanes above and around the South China Sea -- a move likely to be greeted with trepidation in Beijing.

In a speech before Parliament last week, Singaporean Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen announced a plan to buy up to 12 F-35 warplanes from the US. If the deal goes through, Singapore will become the fourth American ally in the Pacific to own them.

Without tackling ‘gross inequalities’ major issues will go unsolved, warns UN rights chief Bachelet

Inequality continues to drive rights violations everywhere, but some countries have made significant progress in tackling the problem, not least in women’s rights, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Wednesday.

In a more than half-hour address to the Human Rights Council, Michelle Bachelet highlighted concerns around the world, while also welcoming several firsts, such as the record number of women now serving in the United States Congress, where they make up nearly a quarter of the representation.
