Trump becomes 45th President of the United States

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States on Friday, vowing to drain power from Washington elites and always put "America first" in its dealings with the world at a moment of transformative political change.

He arrived at the White House for the first time as President just before 5 p.m. ET following a day of tradition marking the power shift in the nation's capital.

Duterte, Robredo lead in PPCRV partial, unofficial results

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — PDP Laban standard bearer Rodrigo Duterte holds an early lead in the presidential race, based on partial, unofficial results from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

Duterte garnered 15,968,337 votes as of 5:45 p.m. Sunday (May 15).

Liberal Party's (LP) Manuel "Mar" Roxas II is in second place with 9,700,445 votes, while independent candidate Grace Poe is in third with 8,935,939 votes.

United Nationalist Alliance bet Jejomar "Jojo" Binay has 5,318,290 votes, while Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago has 1,424,531 votes.

The late Roy Señeres has 25,161 votes.

Roxas, Poe, and Binay have conceded to Duterte, as of Friday (May 13).

22 December 2015 – In its first resolution on Syria since granting the United Nations an enhanced role in seeking to end the five-year-long war, the Security Council today demanded that all parties, particularly the Syrian authorities, immediately open routes across conflict lines and borders to let in vital humanitarian aid.

Accordingly, the theme should possess inclusive, forward-looking qualities such as balance, continuity, relevance, resonance, and sustainability. It shall underline and advance both domestic and regional goals through building on past and ongoing initiatives while addressing present challenges and needs that relate to common concerns and interests. Moreover, the APEC 2015 theme should be realized by achieving medium term to long-term results.
