Philippines 6.1-magnitude earthquake leaves 11 dead, 30 feared trapped


(CNN)A second major quake has rattled the Philippines after an earlier 6.1-magnitude earthquake that left 11 people dead and 30 still feared trapped in the rubble.

The magnitude 6.3 earthquake with a depth of 53.6 miles (83.3km) was registered on the island of Samar in central Philippines on Tuesday afternoon local time, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). There is no tsunami warning and no immediate reports of damage.

Marking International Mother Earth Day, the UN on Monday debated how best to build “an equitable and sustainable future” for all, through enhanced education and climate action, on the road to a key international summit on the issue due to take place in September.

Billed officially as an Interactive Dialogue on Harmony with Nature, the UN General Assembly session involved Member States and top officials discussing the need to take urgent action against the pace of global warming, in line with the 2015Paris Agreement, to keep carbon dioxide emissions to well-below two degrees Celsius.

Sudan will prosecute Bashir but won't hand him over, military says

(CNN)Sudan's ruling military council will prosecute deposed President Omar al-Bashir but will not extradite him, a military officer said Friday.
In a press conference, the head of transitional military council's political committee Lt. General Omar Zein Alabedin vowed to try Bashir, forced out of power in a military coup on Thursday morning, and said that the army would help pave the path to democratic transition.

‘Democratic aspirations of the Sudanese people’ must be met urges Guterres, following military removal of al-Bashir from power


In a statement issued in New York by his Spokesperson, the Secretary-General said he would continue to follow development “very closely” and reiterated his call for calm and “utmost restraint by all”.

In announcing the end of Mr. Bashir’s rule via State television, Sudan’s defence minister said that he was being held “in a secure place”, and the army would now oversee a two-year period of transition back to full civilian rule.

THE WORLD SOCIETY SHOULD TREAT FAIRLY ON AUTISTIC OR PERSON WITH DISABILITIES INSTEAD OF DISCRIMINATE THEM AND GIVE THEM A SEVERE BURDEN IN LIFE WITH THIS ISSUE FACING IN A FAMILY SPECIALLY WITH PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.  RESPECT THEM AND DO NOT INSULT IN THEIR CONDITIONS.  HELP THEM TO JOIN SOCIETY WITHOUT SUFFERING OF UNFAIRNESS.

World Autism Awareness Week 2019: Everything you need to know




During the first week of April, people all over the UK will be marking Autism Awareness Week.

The fundraising event set up by the National Autistic Society encourages people to donate to help fund campaigns that work to enrich the lives of those with autism.

According to the society, autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how people perceive the world and interact with others. This can mean they see, hear and feel the world differently to others.

On World Autism Awareness Day, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres underscored in his message on Tuesday, the importance of technology which helps people living with autism “achieve their full potential”.

“Celebrate the diversity of our global community and strengthen our commitment to the full inclusion and participation of people with autism”, he said, as “a vital part of our efforts to uphold the core promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: to leave no one behind”.
