Xi leaves White House after bilateral meeting with Trump
Chinese leader Xi Jinping left the West Wing at about 1:30 p.m. ET after concluding a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump.
Trump and Xi walked outside together and exchanged a few words, before Xi stepped into his car, which had an American flag and Chinese flags on the sides of the hood.
As reporters shouted questions, Trump said, “Good meeting.”
“Great meeting, thank you,” Trump said before walking back inside the West Wing.
The rest of the Chinese delegation hopped into a black van, after Xi’s car was down the driveway.
